As an old married person, I never go out outside of Clarendon these days. I need some ideas of a good bar for an upcoming Saturday night. The only big requirements are dancing and that it isn't on-top-of-the-next person sweaty level crowded. Thoughts?

Super fun! Hmmm let me think. 

If you want downright dance party with cheap drinks and a frat-like atmosphere you can try anywhere in my neighborhood (Adams Morgan) Brass Monkey has three floors (including one with karaoke) so you can find dancing room. Town Tavern is fun too with a more low key bar downstairs and DJ up!

If you want something a little classier and slightly more expensive you can go to U Street and hit up Local 16 or Marvin (not as super dancey but still fun) There’s also Policy or a new place called BlackJack both on 14th St. that are fun!

If you’re really up for an adventure and want a crazytown dance like lunatics set up I would say trek out to H street and hit up Rock n Roll hotel. The DJs are awesome, everyone is dancing like crazy and the drinks are moderately priced. You have to be SUPER drunk, but it’s a blast.
