    21… how in the world are you 21? I feel like it was yesterday that you were that cute little blonde baby who called me “sha sha,” said “neakers” instead of sneakers and yelled “i hate dat mask!” to Uncle Kenny on Halloween. Or the bratty (you know you were) teenager that fought with me about everything and stole my clothes before going to school. 

    Now look at you. A junior in college, pursing your dream of becoming a teacher, living away from home, balancing school, sorority life, work and everything else. You’ve grown up so, so much in the last few years and I couldn’t be more proud of the woman you’ve become and all that you’ve accomplished. 

    And now 21. Jesus, that makes me feel old. Can’t wait for you to come and visit so I can really show you what DC is all about. Miss you everyday and love you more than you know.
