Friday I was home sick (thus the lack of posts!) and finally able to function at approximately 4:30 p.m. Pete and I decided that with the shitty weather it was a great night for dinner and a movie.

First up, Source Code.

Hello, Jake for 90 minutes is enough to get me in the theatre. But the movie was REALLY good. Interesting plot, a few twists that you didn’t see coming and an ending that, while not as confusing as some people said, still makes you think. Jake is just so. good. looking. And the movie had the perfect amount of action and love story to keep you entertained. Verdict - see it.

After the movie we braved the rain and finally tried Pasta Mia in AdMo!

The restaurant at 18th and Columbia is cash only (no exceptions), doesn’t take reservations and always has a line out the door. My review is the same as everyone else’s that I’ve heard - process is annoying. You get seated based on the table available (it’s SUPER tiny!) so don’t go with more than a party of 2. We got lucky with a 1/2 hour wait.

The food was DELICIOUS. Menu is basically pasta only and no substitutions can be made to anything, it comes like it comes. The $16 pasta easily makes three meals and the cheap house wine was actually good! Don’t plan on doing anything after the meal, though, except head straight to bed. So delicious, so full.
