1. Last weekend in DC recap
And just like that my last weekend happened in a total blur. Kicked things off with a goodbye party on Friday night. All my bests at a bar that was a huge favorite in our younger days. More Miller Lites than I can count, wearing sunnies inside, dance parties, nachos, tons and tons of hugs, and one hell of a hangover on Saturday morning.
Saturday was for errands, buying my big girl bed and picking up my Amex from said bar. Whoops. I was home and asleep by 9pm.
Sunday the girls and I hit up Masa 14 for unlimited brunch. We drank tons of mimosas, talked wedding planning with KK and visits and future plans. We hit up a patio for a beer after and then said a tearful goodbye.

DC kids,
Thank you for making the last 9 years the best ever. I came to this city as a terrified 17 year old from NJ with no idea where she was going or what she wanted to do. You all made this place into my home. You made me who I am. I’m so happy to have met each and every one of you, through school, aephi, work, tumblr, at random bars, friends of friends or some crazy situation that brought us together.
We’ve been through 21st birthdays, graduations, first jobs and second jobs. New friends and old friends. Boys who came and went and came and went and came and went away forever before they came back again. Happy tears and sad tears and engagements and weddings and breakups. Bars where the bartenders know our names and nights staying up talking life over chicken nuggets or jumbo slice. Trips to the vineyards, the beach, vegas, new orleans, or just down the road.
You’ve made me laugh like no other. I am so lucky to have you all in my life. And I miss you all already. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon.

There was lots of laughs this weekend. And some tears. But it’s nice to know the friends I have will be my friends forever. No matter where we are.
